Bill Fearnehough heads up our Mission Partnerships, keeping us connected with gospel work elsewhere in the UK and the world. He is married to Sheila.
How did you get to join Christ Church Central?
Sheila and I were sent out by Christ Church Fulwood to serve as church planters in Japan from 1963 to 1992. Then we were sent to Outer Mongolia to work with a Christian NGO, from 1993 to 2000. In Mongolia we worked among alcoholics, with church planting, and helped to start a Bible College. We came back to Fulwood to retire, but were soon sent out again to join the Christ Church Central team in 2003. So far Christ Church Central has not sent us anywhere!
What do you do in Christ Church Central?
With our long term experience of cross cultural outreach, this was a natural area for us to serve in Christ Church Central, and we have enjoyed doing this for the past 10 years, contacting with overseas folk (especially those from the Far East) in church and in International Café. We also help to support our church mission partners who are serving overseas, and in the UK.
