As a church family, we are committed to one another in friendship, prayer, service and giving, expressing our commitment to the mission, vision and values of Christ Church Central, and motivated by the gospel. As Paul reminded the Corinthians, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9)
Much of what we do, however, requires money. We want, as a church family, to be generous with our resources – supplying both our own needs and those of the mission partners we support. Paul’s advice to the Corinthians is helpful: “Each should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income.” (1 Corinthians 16:2)
As we give, we remember these words: “God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7) Our giving is to be motivated by joyful obedience rather than reluctant obligation. For this reason – and in keeping with our mission to be a church for people who don’t go to church – we don’t take an offering during our Sunday meetings.
If you would like to talk to someone about giving to Christ Church Central regularly or as a one-off, please email or call the church office. You can use also the Giving Box that is available on Sundays.
